On June 16, Ross School hosted the Sixth Annual Golf with the Knicks outing at The Bridge Golf Course in Bridgehampton. More than 50 players, including Knicks legends Larry Johnson, John Starks, Herb Williams, Anthony Bonner, Mel Davis, and John Wallace, as well as Ross family and community members, turned out on a perfect, sunny day for some fun on the links.
The event raised $45,000 for Ross School programs and scholarships, including the Steven J. Ross Scholarship Fund.
Golfers enjoyed getting to know one another and catching up with old friends over breakfast and lunch in The Bridge’s clubhouse, with its beautiful views of Sag Harbor, Shelter Island, and the Peconic Bay. This year, 13-year-old Jacob, who received the day of golf as a gift from his grandfather, and his father Mark were delighted to team up with favorite players Starks and Bonner for light-hearted competition on the course.
Players wrapped up their day with a cocktail reception and awards ceremony. Trophies were distributed to top players, including Valinda Valcich for the longest drive, and event chairperson Debra Fields Feldstein for the shot closet to the flag on the fifth hole.
Thanks to the Knicks, Ross families and friends, and The Bridge for another memorable event and for supporting the Ross School!
