The jazz/hip-hop class performed to “Wilkommen” from the Broadway musical Cabaret. Junior Lily Pahud De Mortanges said she started teacher Sheryl Hastalis’s dance elective with little previous knowledge of jazz dance, but it became one of her favorite classes. “I invested a lot of time in the performance for the winter concert, and it was absolutely worth it,” Lily said.

At the Instrumental Showcase on February 21 at the Lower School, musicians in grades 3 through 6 demonstrated their progress this year for an audience of younger students and family members. Third graders were particularly encouraged to pay attention to the different instruments so they would know more about which one they would like to play in band next year.
