Harnessing the Power of One

In honor of October's designation as National Bullying Prevention Month, on September 30, Ross Lower School hosted a troupe of actors performing a series of interactive skits titled "The Power of One." The actors use boxes, colors, and masks to communicate with children about bullying, how to prevent bullying, and what they can do as individuals to report and deal with bullying.

Students in grades K–6 will follow up their participation in the assembly with Life Skills classes that focus on the Power of One message and its anti-bullying oath: "I will not bully others. I will not stand by while others are bullied. I will report and deal with bullying whenever I see it...because I have the Power of One." EC classes will follow up by focusing on messages of kindness, inclusion, and working together as a cooperative group.
